VISIT GUIDELINES 2024 

While we have always welcomed our owners into our puppy area, and therefore into our home, these last few years Covid-19 has required some changes to how we conduct visits. As always, we send the families on the waiting list weekly puppy pictures from birth, we will temperament test the puppies at 6 weeks of age and send out the temperament results. In the past, approximately 60% of our families would visit in person to choose their puppy with our assistance. The others would choose their puppies in order, using FaceTime, pictures, and the temperament analysis.   

Of course, especially now we understand the need to travel less; we encourage families to choose their puppy using pictures and the Volhard temperament test results. We also offer scheduled FaceTime visits. Finally, if you prefer to visit in person, we will schedule a visit with the understanding that it will be outdoors on the covered patio. You will still be able to observe and interact with the puppies. We will have hand sanitizer, but please keep in mind that restroom facilities will not be available. 

The 8-week puppy pick-up has been revised as well. We will still include the AKC registration paperwork, a small bag of puppy food, and a toy or blanket with the scent of your puppy’s littermates. The veterinary shot records, training advice, potty schedule, and other paperwork may be emailed instead of printed.  Pick-up will take place outdoors, on the front patio or covered patio.
